Congratulations to the Interior Design program at Middle Tennessee State University for their recent accreditation!

We don’t always know the impact we have on the future of our architectural and related professions and are grateful for JJCA’s opportunity to contribute to MTSU’s accomplishment.

In 2020, Stephanie Pielich volunteered to help MTSU students work on real-life change orders for a recently completed medical project. These future Interior Designers enjoyed working with her, and the instructors have continued to use the drawing sets Stephanie shared for the learning application.

Thanks to new methods of collaborating (are we thanking COVID?!), Stephanie provided all this professional insight virtually. The virtual approach provided Stephanie with greater accessibility to join the class and it added a dose of variety to the usual virtual class setting.

Fast forward to 2022 when the MTSU interior design program had a critical Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) site visit. We recently heard the good news that Stephanie’s work with the students helped in meeting their standard for Collaboration. The report shows the students moved from awareness, to understanding, to ability/application!

This is just one example to show how passionate we are about delivering great projects and how committed we are to helping future architects and designers improve their knowledge as they study academic fundamentals.
