We are thrilled to introduce Alyssa Hatcher as the newest member of our architectural firm. Alyssa joins us with a fresh perspective and a passion for design that directly impacts people's lives.
She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Auburn University and has gained valuable experience as a student intern at a firm in Huntsville, AL, where she produced schematic design proposals, modeled existing site conditions, and researched historic preservation projects.
Alyssa is particularly excited about working in the high-impact sectors we serve at JJCA, including healthcare, behavioral health, and education. She believes that architecture has the power to enhance growth, learning, and healing—fundamental parts of the human experience. Alyssa looks forward to significantly impacting the staff, students, and patients using the spaces we design.
One of Alyssa's favorite aspects of architecture is the ability to shape experiences within the built environment. She finds inspiration in traditional and contemporary Japanese architecture, admiring the unmatched attention to detail and the seamless integration of natural elements into urban spaces. Her experiences studying abroad in Spain and Japan have deeply influenced her design philosophy.
When she's not working, Alyssa loves spending time outdoors, whether walking on the greenway, reading on her balcony, or attending concerts. Photography is another passion; she often brings her camera along when exploring new places. Alyssa cherishes her memories of live music events and is excited to live in Music City, where she can enjoy a vibrant concert scene.
Alyssa also has a growing collection of plants she enjoys caring for at home. She loves to read and explore new places with friends, making her move to Nashville an exciting opportunity to discover a new city. Her favorite color is blue, a hue she finds consistently appealing and uplifting, especially under a clear sky. Interestingly, her favorite artist, Billie Eilish, has a new album cover that features various shades of blue, adding another layer of connection to her favorite color.
We are delighted to have Alyssa join us and look forward to her creative energy and thoughtful design approach to our projects. Welcome, Alyssa!
