Education Projects Get High Marks

When it comes to the many projects we’ve done for the Tennessee Board of Regents, we’ve really sharpened the pencil to meet tight budgets and schedules while still providing creative solutions that support education in Middle Tennessee.

Tight budgets

Working to renovate a 1930’s vintage auditorium with a ten-year old budget might sound like an impossible task. But a unique zero-based budgeting approach that attached costs and priorities to each building component helped us meet the program needs of the Tennessee Board of Regents to renovate the administration building and restore the historic auditorium at Tennessee State University.

Tight Schedules

When the Tennessee Education Association purchased a two-acre site in a redeveloping area of downtown Nashville, the board and executive director envisioned a new headquarters facility that would reflect the integrity of the teaching profession while demonstrating responsible use of member dues.  In less than nine months, JJCA provided programming, design, and construction administration using a team contractor, and finished the project within the allocated budget.

Creative Solutions

From a variety of dorm and building renovations for MTSU to major improvements to TSU’s Avon Williams campus, we’ve been honored to help provide special places for college students in Middle Tennessee to learn.
