JJCA was founded in Nashville, Tennessee in 1991 by Ed Johnson, Bruce Crabtree and David Johnson.

Their 80 years of combined architectural experience left us with a legacy of passion and knowledge. Their dedication and hard work established JJCA as respected experts in healthcare and education-related architecture.

  Today, principals David Johnson and David Brown lead a team of highly motivated professionals who are passionate about creating special places for people to work, play and heal. Our vision is to create an environment where great people can do great things, without limits. Here at JJCA, attitude and ability are the determinants of contribution, not job title or seniority.

  Within our close-knit team—currently 14—we have an ideal balance of long-term architects with time-tested experience, and new young talent, providing fresh ideas and state-of-the-art technological skills. We're able to leverage our highly specialized knowledge, technology and diverse skills to yield the productivity of firms twice our size.
