157,000 square feet new
Construction cost: $28.4 million
Completed 2003
Every minute counts when your mission is to bring state-of-the-art cardiovascular and orthopedic care to a community. Creating a medical environment with the feel of a fine hotel was just one of the many challenges of designing Alliance Hospital in Odessa, Texas.
"Time is of the essence," was the mandate that resulted in taking a vacant property to a new, 157,000 square foot specialty hospital, in less than a year and a half. The project began with the translation of the vision of eleven doctors and delivery of schematic drawings in just ten days. In the midst of the project, we faced the loss of Ed Johnson, one of our founding partners. It's a real tribute to Ed that he had built a team that could prevail in the most challenging circumstances. This highly complex project was completed early, making cutting-edge "beating heart" robotic operations available for the first time in this small community.
When it comes to seamless design and construction, we don't miss a beat.
