We love adding to our special JJCA family! Meet Caroline Abel, who has always loved design. Her brother encouraged her to try an architecture class in high school, and, well, here she is!

“Architecture is constant problem-solving and beauty-making for people to experience,” she says. “I am lucky to have found a career so meaningful.

“I was thrilled to join JJCA because of the supportive community. I knew these were the people who would push me to become a stronger designer and person. I am already learning so much and am impressed daily by the camaraderie, professionalism, and talent within the office.”

Caroline grew up in St. Louis, MO, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture – Design Thinking and Media Studies from University of Virginia in 2023. A fun Caroline fact is that she is a triplet! She says her siblings are incredible and a big part of her life.

Caroline is more than her education and upbringing. Let’s dig a little deeper.

Heroes? Choosing a hero is challenging, she says, but then goes on to say her parents worked hard to help her realize her dreams. Otherwise, it’s Spider Man, for sure.

Hobbies? As for travel, she loves Crystal Bridges in Bentonville, AR, because the architecture, landscape, and American artwork overlap so purposefully and beautifully. And this aspiring architect enjoys exploring the Frank Lloyd Wright house nestled in the backyard.

Caroline’s other hobbies are many: hiking, travel, browsing antique stores, and all types of arts and crafts. She’s a bright color person and loves dogs and Taylor Swift.

That sums up our new employee, Caroline Abel. Welcome!
