AIA EP Friendly Firm
Aug 22, 2017 JJCA Office News

We believe one of the best ways to ensure that we are able to help clients be successful is to help our employees be successful. So it's an honor to have been selected by the Tennessee AIA as an outstanding "Emerging Professionals Friendly Firm" (EPFF). Not only were we in the top 10, we shared the honor of being chosen "Outstanding EPFF Medium Firm" along with Self+Tucker Architects in Memphis.

At JJCA, our formula for EPFF success starts by hiring great people who share our passion for the work we do. We find many of those people from active participation in career fairs at a number of college campuses. Then we quickly immerse new talent into all aspects of our projects so they gain valuable experience.

With projects taking us all across the United States and sometimes beyond, we work hard to help employees maintain a good work/life balance, providing flexibility in work schedules and locales.

Of course you can't be an architecture firm without architects! Since we bring in many of our talented crew straight from school, it is important that we support them in their efforts to become licensed architects. That's why we provide an education budget, have a library of study materials available, provide time off for exams, and pay for passed exams. But that's not all. We provide a very unique reward to our newly licensed architects. Find out what that reward is here.

Finally, we're proud of having well-rounded employees who contribute to our community in a variety of ways. We provide a number of opportunities for team members to participate in industry-related experiences, like ACE Mentoring and the AIA EP Group, as well as a variety of other community opportunities, such as Salama Urban Ministries, and just straight-up fun stuff, for example, participation on our Arch Enemies volleyball team.
