Seeing is believing but experiencing is even better. As a part of their design development staff review meeting, Blake Daniels and Jason Putnal gave staff members at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado, Illinois the opportunity to experience the scale of a patient room. In the photo below, blue tape represents the walls, white tape the casework, and the tables and chairs are stand-ins for the furniture that would be in a real patient room.
This LEAN approach allows JJCA to proactively gather staff feedback as a part of the design process rather than after the fact, which ultimately provides cost savings for our clients.
